Austin has many hotels to choose from. Luckily for me, Daniel did great picking our latest hotel the Courtyard by Marriott Austin Downtown/Convention Center for my son’s 18th birthday celebration. As you arrive, valet is mandatory, which turned out to be a nice bonus during our trip. You simply pull up, hand your keys over and they park it for you.

If you decide to leave for an outing, all you have to do is text a number about 10 minutes before you need it. By the time you gather your hotel key and wait for the elevator chances are your car will be out waiting for you. The valet workers are quick and organized. You’ll come across some peak times and that’s to be expected so be patient, they’ll have your car out.

The courtyard is brightly lit, shiny floors and clean. I waited off to the side with Diego and his friends while Daniel checked us in and then I noticed Daniel spun a wheel. He said he joined the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program and he spun the wheel to get some extra sign up points. A nice employee came around and gave everyone water bottles as they waited and I thought that was a nice touch.

Inside the lobby it was beautifully decorated and thoughtful furniture. There were work stations and plenty of seating all around. As we walked past this across the way was a Starbucks as well inside the hotel. I really loved that the hotel included this popular coffee shop.

The hotel is super close to the popular 6th street and you can even grab one of the many scooters located outside the hotel.

My husband and I had our own room and my son and his two best friends shared a room on the 8th floor. The hotel accommodated us by having our rooms on the same floor, actually our rooms were only two rooms away. As a protective and worried mother this really allowed me to feel secure, knowing that if the boys needed anything I was not too far away. Thank you Courtyard Marriott!

Now for the best part, the room!! The room was just great. I loved how clean it was.

Everything was in its place and included lotion, body wash, shampoo, conditioner and blow dryer.

Our room had two queen beds, mini fridge, a safe, a lounging chair, a work station with chair, quite a few USB ports. The room was just right for two.

During our stay we utilized the ice maker which was on every floor. For us it was only a few feet away. We fully took advantage of having the Starbucks on our way out. It was super convenient it being part of the hotel.

I really had a relaxing time during our stay at The courtyard Marriott. It left me rested, spoiled, and wanting to stay longer.
