The new Katy Beer Garden is located on 3rd Street in downtown old Katy, TX and WOW did it impress! The huge beer garden did not match the tiny little welcome sign out front.

Walking up the manicured lawn, with its picturesque view, I observed children running about and playing cornholes. I appreciated the lovely trees spread throughout the property. I couldn’t get over how thought-out it all looked in the old town of Katy. Hadi “Andrew” Nurcahya did an amazing job seeing the beauty of the historical landmarks rice dryer silos as a backdrop.

There are two food trucks parked just outside of the beer garden. We could smell the BBQ coming from Jos Brisket. Everything on their menu looked good and it was hard to narrow down my choice. I ended up going with the brisket-loaded fries because it looked huge so I figured we could share the fries.

Daniel proceeded to Grub City food truck and ordered a cheeseburger. We were given a beeper to notify us when to return for our food. We quickly headed inside because it was about 6:30 pm in Katy, Texas, so it was still pretty hot outside. Let me tell you, Katy Beer Garden keeps it super chilly inside. That AC hit my face and neck! Oof, it felt great!!

Katy Beer Garden is breathtaking! I was stunned to see how huge and well-decorated the establishment was. It was open and spacious with soft lighting. My eye was drawn to the wall of beers, about 55 beer tabs to be exact. I didn’t try a beer this time but this won’t be my last time going.

The staff is very attentive. I walked up to check out the menu. The very kind bartender right away came by and asked if he could help. I asked about the cocktails. He said cocktails were behind the beer bar in the cocktail lounge area of the venue. Daniel and I walked over toward the back and found the additional seating and a whole other room with a beautiful lit-up bar.

We checked out the menu and we ordered a Paloma and the Long Island iced tea. The bartenders were so professional and knowledgeable. We watched as they made out drinks and it seemed like they took such pride in their craft.

Both of the bartenders were meticulous while making the drinks.

The Paloma cocktail was refreshing and just what I wanted. It wasn’t too sweet and the grapefruit peel gave it a nice touch. The Long Island iced tea was even better! I enjoyed it. I was jealous that I didn’t order it and Daniel did.

We walked over to our table where our friends came to join us and visit this new exciting place. We sat for a bit when our buzzer went off alerting us that our food was ready for pick up.

Well, I out-ordered Daniel because the brisket fries still have me dreaming about it. The flavor and temperature were on point. The brisket was tender and flavorful. The fries were crinkle-type fries and the saltiness was just perfect.

The had a bit of the burger Daniel ordered and it was decent and ordinary. If I had to reorder, I would order the loaded brisket fries again for sure. We all enjoyed our drinks and beers with food. Once we were done with our orders, the waitstaff was there to pick up empty glasses, pour more water, and clean up empty plates. I appreciated how they were prompt to clear our table.

Daniel and I decided to order another drink. This time, I ordered, Pretty is as Pretty Does and Daniel asked for one called the Missed My Flight cocktail.

My drink hit the spot for sure, the pineapple added the sweetness, while the watermelon pucker gave its pink color, I wanted more. I didn’t try Daniel’s drink because I am not a fan of bourbon, so I didn’t try it. He finished it and seemed to enjoy it so I only assume it was good to him. The ambiance at Katy Beer Garden really made our night out enjoyable with our friends, Nik and Diyana.

We had a great time catching up and even watched the soccer game, Brazil vs. Colombia, and the Houston Astros baseball game, on the big flat screen TVs displayed on the walls.

The attention to detail in every aspect of the Katy Beer Garden was spectacular. From outdoors to indoors, I enjoyed every minute of this place. With is being so close to home we plan to visit it often.
