I asked the hostess what was their most popular pizza and she said it is the Margherita pizza. I asked her what her favorite was and she said the pepperoni and mushroom pizza. I was sold, but first an appetizer we chose two orders of the garlic knots. When they arrived they looked delicious and promising. Unfortunately, our order of garlic knots seemed to have been over-baked. The knots I was hoping for were buttery, soft, and doughy. Our knots were over-toasted, with a bland taste. Nothing at all what I was expecting. The knots came with a small dish of marinara. I took a piece off of the crispy knot and thought maybe the sauce would soften the garlic knot, but no it held its hardness. Oh well, the appetizer was just not my favorite.

We first ordered the Margherita. We had a party of five and didn’t want to over-order. Our pizza came and it was beautiful. Covered in fresh mozzarella, diced Roma tomatoes, extra-virgin olive oil, garlic, and basil. The colors reminded me of a brightly lit Christmas tree. It was fresh and mmm good! The crust was lightly baked and on the crispy side. We devoured the pizza.

The boys were ready for a second pizza. We went with pepperoni and mushrooms, the classics of all classics 😉 For me this pie was the main winner! It was piping hot and the cheese was gooey. The saltiness from the pepperoni was so good my eyes rolled back. Yes, it was that friggin’ amazing. Such a simple pizza with only two ingredients yet it was the best.  I honestly regretted eating a slice of the  Margherita because I could’ve had two slices of the pepperoni and mushroom 🤭 instead.
