I really had a craving for Shawarma so I went to check out a spot that was recommended through our Contact Us page. The message said that Shawarma Grill & Cafe was sort of hidden but worth the search. When I first arrived to the parking lot I did not realize that the restaurant is located on the backside of an adjoining restaurant that is being renovated. I walked into the restaurant and was greeted and seated by a waitress there.

I looked over the menu and was instantly drawn toward the Chicken Shawarma and since the menu had hummus listed I ordered that as well. My friend Randy ordered the same Chicken Shawarma, but went with Tabbouli for an appetizer. Tabbouli is made with finely chopped parsley, tomato, green onion, an bit of fresh mint, lemon juice, burghul (wheat), & olive oil. The Tabbouli arrived first and we had a few bites each and agreed that it was good.

Next the hummus arrived along with serving of pita bread. The hummus hit the spot as it was perfectly seasoned and had lots of the olive oil on top.

Our Chicken Shawarma arrived and it had thinly sliced chicken, pickles, tomatoes and a really tasty garlic sauce. It was such a simple entree made very very well. The chicken had plenty of flavor and it was easy to see why so many patrons were coming in picking up to go orders. I would have to say I can see myself ordering the Shawarma to go to treat my family to a great meal.

After we finished our meal we had a look at the kitchen area and you can see the vertical rotisseries they shave the meat and chicken from.

I can imagine this spot is pretty busy on the weekends as they have plenty of outdoor seating in front and a patio on the side of the building as well.
