The only thing better than eating at a locally owned restaurant is eating at a locally sourced restaurant. I love that concept of acquiring produce and meats from local farmers to better the agricultural state of our community and that is exactly what Local Table is all about. Not to mention the service is impeccable and the decor is modern but classic with warm, rich color palette. As we walked in and were greeted by a very nice hostess who sat us near one of the walls of windows which was perfect. Our server came by promptly to get our drink orders and brought complimentary waters while we waited. Local Table also features “Local Bar” with a variety of unique cocktails, an extensive wine and beer list, and hand crafted non-alcoholic beverages. I decided to try the house prosecco and my friend settled on a hand crafted strawberry lemonade.
We started off with the spinach dip which comes with fresh pico de Gallo and tzatziki sauce. I personally love tzatziki sauce and their version was amazing – just the right amount of cucumber and dill. After thoroughly enjoying our appetizer it was time to choose the main course. There are so many options from salads and sandwiches to kabobs and salmon or chicken. I decided to go with the combination, chicken and steak, kabobs with basmati rice and fresh seasonal vegetables. I sipped on my prosecco as we waited, it was a very good, not too sweet and wonderfully sparkling. It was not long at all when we were presented with our meals. It looked amazing, I almost forgot to take a picture for you all before digging in! The kabobs were seasoned very well, not too spicy and quite tangy, and the basmati rice was a perfect partner to the dish. The vegetables were my favorite though, steamed until they were soft but not over cooked and seasoned to perfection with just the right amount of saltiness and subtle spice. I was extremely pleased with my choice. Finally, I had just enough room to try a dessert that caught my eye – the white and dark chocolate mousse cake. It came out on a decorated plate with strawberries that were just a fresh as everything else they offer. The ganache on top was rich and decadent, the layers of mousse were light and fluffy, the whole cake was a great finale to our meal.
My experience at Local Table was just the best I could have hoped for. The servers and bartenders were nice and friendly, well-trained and attentive. The food was immaculate and more than enough portion wise. The drinks they offer pair exquisitely with anything on the menu. I was so impressed by this place that I plan on taking friends there this weekend to do it all over again. If you are looking for a semi-casual night out to socialize and indulge in great food and drink I would very highly recommend trying Local Table. Thanks for the great time!!
